What is FighterGuesser?
FighterGuesser is a daily puzzle game that challenges your knowledge of MMA fighters. Every day at midnight UTC, a new mystery fighter is selected, and your goal is to identify them in 8 attempts or fewer using strategic guesses and color-coded hints.
Think of it as Wordle for MMA fans – each guess reveals valuable information about how close you are to the correct answer. The game tests your knowledge of fighter statistics, rankings, and characteristics across all UFC weight classes and divisions.
Basic Rules
1. One Fighter Per Day
A new mystery fighter is selected every day at midnight UTC. Everyone around the world gets the same fighter, making it a shared daily challenge.
2. Eight Attempts Maximum
You have 8 chances to guess the correct fighter. Use each guess wisely – the hints from previous attempts help narrow down your options.
3. Choose from Active MMA Fighters
All guesses must be current MMA fighters from our database. Use the autocomplete search feature to type a fighter's name – it will suggest matches as you type, even if you don't include accents (for example, typing "Jiri Prochazka" will find "Jiří Procházka").
4. Three Game Modes Available

Understanding the Color-Coded Hints
After each guess, you'll see eight categories with color-coded feedback. Here's how to interpret each color:
Green Square (🟩) = Correct Match
This attribute exactly matches the mystery fighter. For example, if the Weight Class is green, you've identified the correct division.

Arrows (⬆️⬇️) = Direction
For numerical attributes, arrows show the direction:
- ⬆️: ⬆️ Up Arrow: The mystery fighter's value is HIGHER (e.g., if you guessed 25 years old and see ⬆️, the target is older)
- ⬇️: ⬇️ Down Arrow: The mystery fighter's value is LOWER
Note: Arrows appear on Age, Height, Reach, and Wins columns
Red Square (🟥) = Wrong
This hint does not match. For example for weight class, nationality or style this means it's different from what matches the mystery fighter. If a red square appears when you suggest someone in the ranking, this means the mystery fighter is not ranked and vice versa.
